If you’ve been following us on Facebook, you may have noticed some strange activity on our page. The posts have covered everything from crocheting to plant care and woodworking to some really random stuff… and that’s because our account was hacked and stolen.
Over the last 10 months, we’ve filed dozens of support cases to recover our page but unfortunately, Meta has denied them all. So what do we do now? We’ve started a new page at https://www.facebook.com/cademuseum. Please give us (the real Cade Museum) a follow, and if you’d like to report the stolen page, just follow these steps:
- Visit our old page at https://www.facebook.com/thecademuseum
- Click the four dots on the top right of any post and click “Report post.”

- Select “Scam, fraud, or false information”

- On the next screen, select “Pretending to be a business.”

- Type in “cade museum” and select the profile that uses our logo

- Lastly, you can unfollow the old page if you’d like (or stay tuned for more spammy content).

Our hope is that if enough people report the stolen page, Meta will pay attention and return it to us. If or when retuned, we’ll merge the pages and hopefully, we’ll never have to go through this again.
Thank you to all who have reached out with concerns or offered to help! We really appreciate it and will continue efforts to recover our page. If you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out to our team at marketing@cademuseum.org.
