What is Scratch?
Scratch is a block-based visual programing language created to engage children into coding with simple drag and drop code. Scratch takes its name from a technique used by disk jockeys called “scratching”, where vinyl records are clipped together and manipulated on a turntable to produce different sound effects and music. Scratch users are encouraged to mix different media, such as graphics, sound, and other programs in creative ways by “remixing” assets and projects just like disk jockey. Learn more about Scratch.
